“My wedding flowers…” brides ask
and the wedding experts answer
When it is time to start your wedding preparations, one of the first things you’ll have to think about is obviously your wedding decoration, which actually means flowers! Don’t pretend you don’t care.. your wedding flowers will automatically give you the color pallet of your wedding. It is very important to choose your wedding flowers very very carefully!
Kostas Korakos of Red Box Days answered to some very important questions that real brides asked him!

“Wildflowers are my favorite flowers! I think of using them to my wedding because I would love a rustic style and I also thing they won’t be very expensive. Is that possible?”
Maria | Getting married in May 2017
“Of course and you can do it.. if you are getting married on Spring or in California. But not if you have chosen Summer in Greece. Like you I love all the centerpieces I see in big wedding blog of US. But these photos were not taken in the middle of Summer in Greece. Those flowers have completed their cycle of life on summer. Instead you can choose Dutch flowers that look like a lot like Greek wildflowers.”

“I am getting married on August and I want my bridal bouquet be made of white peonies because I believe will be perfect for my romantic style of my wedding! Is that possible?”
Despoina | Getting married in August 2017
“If your florist can find peonies, then 99% they won’t be fresh. Fresh peonies you can find from May to June (There is an exception, a small production of peonies during winter in Africa). Don’t disappoint though.. David Austin Roses is a choice you’ll be crazy about!”.

“Can we transfer the flower creation from outside the church to our wedding venue later?”
Elisa | Getting married in June 2017
“Of course they can! But there is going to be a delay in order to be placed on the tables or decorate the venue. I n the best occasion they will be placed the same time your guests start arriving. In the worst case scenario after they have arrived”.

“I want my bridal bouquet to be full of flowers but I am afraid it will be so big that I won’t be able to hold it. What flowers should I choose? Is it possible to have many Lilium Calles in a wedding bouquet?”
Marianna | Getting married in September 2017
“The truth is that flowers with long stalks create a bridal bouquet that probably is hard to hold in one hand. But there are solutions. A bridal bouquet made of Calles needs 25-30 pieces to be made. Now think that during the ceremony you’ll have to hold 30 stalks in your hands.. Uncomfortable right? You may need to hold it with both hands… The same bridal bouquet can be made differently. We put wires inside the stalks, which will first cut them in half and cover the wires with three or four stalks. This results in a beautiful bridal bouquet, which you can easily hold!”
"Book your appointment with your wedding florist early! Show them what you like, what you dream, and wait from them to show you a fresh proposal. Don't be afraid and be bold! You won't regret it!"Kostas Korakas |RedBoxDays
