The first day of the first month of Spring is here! And we are super excited because that means we are a little bit closer to our favorite summer weddings. So we decided this first day of Spring to ask six of our favorite photographers to talk about their favorite wedding photo of last year. You will so much enjoy this post. Trust us!
- ANASTASIOS FILOPOULOS:
“One of my favorite wedding photos of 2015 is this one of Andreas and Konstantina’s wedding in Cyprus. The couple stayed with me only for a while after the ceremony and I tried as much as I could to capture this love and this peace of the moment that they both had after the tense of the ceremony. Some touches to each other, closed eyes with no stress and any noise around, all these brought the most tensed feelings of the couple. In that I photo I believe I managed to capture a little bit of the moment’s aura and for me this feeling shown at the photo is bigger and better that any magical landscape in a photo shoot”Wedding Photography: Anastasios Filopoulos - MONIKA KRITIKOU:
“The wedding day… a day that will be shaped not only out of flowers, beautiful dresses, warm wishes and future plans… It will be a day full of emotions, tiredness, stress, moments that will follow one another and definitely not everything will go according to your plan. But it is OK! It is OK because simply this will be the best day of your life. It is OK because you will have close to you all your favorite people that you want to share these amazing moments with. So take a deep breath, make space in your mind and your heart for a day that you will remember for ever, that will create tense feelings of joy and cry, moments that will form your own fairy tale to tell in the future…”Wedding Photography: Fiorello Photography - NIKOS MYLONAS:
“This is a photo that talked to my heart from the moment I took it, even before I saw it on my computer. I cahse moments like that in every wedding and when those moments are so real and full of emotions I just pick my camera and do what I have to do. A photographer knows the psychology of the bride during her wedding day. That is the reason why besides a photographer we act like psychologists that day. Up until now I have managed to make all my brides to forget for a while all the stress and the responsibilities they have on that day (even if almost all of them panic on their way to the church). I advice all the future brides to be as much of their self they can and let the day pass. They have to trust their wedding professionals. This is the only way for the photographer to take real photos, that the couple won’t want to forget.
Don't forget why you are getting married and the reason you have been waiting for this moment!
- SAKIS ANDROUTSOPOULOS:
“This is one of my favorite wedding photos of 2015. I realize wedding as a big party… a party of a couple that decides to be together for a lifetime. A party full of love, energy, motion and I just want to be there and capture every moment that will stay alive through time” - STRATOS SIDERAS:
“In this wedding photo you can see the father of the groom when he blesses his son before the wedding. Usually these photos show the father of the bride crying of emotions. But this picture is special. The wedding took place in Romania and it is a tradition before the ceremony, the son visits the house of his parents to ask for his father’s blessing and forgiveness. The emotions of that moment are all captured in this photo!” - VASSILIS ADAMOPOULOS:
“2015 was an amazing year. I saw new places, I met new friends, I lived closely their stories. And of course I captured all these amazing pictures. Trying to find your favorite wedding photo is not easy. I chose a photo from the couple with the longest story. Ireniki and Takis now live in UK, but their story began 2 decades ago when they were still in school. The way their maid of honor and their friend described their story to me was unique. Their wedding took place in Levidi, and now that I know them both I realize how much personality their wedding had. Overall, the decisions a couple must take are a lot. If I could give one advice to all future couples it would be this one: Keep it personal! Let outside everything that feels strange to you. From all the choices you have just pick the one that really express yourselves”
