A wedding that smelled like jasmine
27 Sep 2015 | 0 | |When WeddingTales met with sweet Despoina Kampouri at Elite Events Athens‘ offices, she had told us for the first time that the theme of her wedding would have been summery, romantic and would have smelled like jasmine! And it was exactly like that! On Saturday 14/06/2015 Despoina walked the aisle along with her other half Vaggelis Tarasiadis at Kythnos, in St Eirini church.
Vaggelis was the first to arrive at the church, on a floating boat along with his best friends and his sweet daughter Elena, who she was the flower girl on her parents wedding. At the moment Despoina was making the last preparations before leaving for the church. Her wedding dress, an amazing creation by Konstantinos Melis by Laskos, was an A line dress with romantic lace and a long trail. She wore a jasmine flower crown on her hair, her close friend Roula Stamatopoulou took care of her bridal make up. Despoina preferred not to wear high heels but a special pair of bare sandals made by Marieta Chrousala. The wedding party took place on the beach and the bride wanted to feel comfortable through the whole night.
At the church, the guests got romantic wooden fans with the couple’s initials and the wedding date and rice pouches. What really impressed the guests though, was the printed pillows from our beloved WedShop. Elite Events Athens‘ decoration followed the romantic-vintage element while the jasmine had the leading role. White laced guest favors and a wedding cake with jasmines stole the hearts of the guests. The most impressive part of the whole decoration was the pretty wish table which had yummy cupcakes, biscuits, almonds, butter cream and the wish book where friends and family could wish to the newlyweds. The great surprise though was all the small gifts for the guests.
Wedding Pins at the wedding colors with 15 different sayings for the guests to choose the one they loved most and unique wish ribbons in three different colors the guests never took off of their hands.
The wedding party started immediately after the couple’s first dance! The song they choose was “Ki emeina edo” by Stelios Rokkos. The open bar kept bringing drinks for the guest who could drink all night thank to the necklace-shotglasses!
Despoina’s wedding was amazing and just the way she dreamed of! We just want to wish them a fairy tale lifetime together!
