The story that Vasia Tzotsopoulou told us about how she started to create wedding dresses is like a fairy tale. Her creations from the brand new bridal collection are in our hands and the truth is that we can certainly say that Vasia and wedding dresses… were meant to be! Now it is the time for you to find out this amazing story of her first wedding dress’s creation and of course enjoy the lovely wedding dresses of her brand new collection.
“In 2002 Passion Alley in Kolonaki was opened. A small and beautiful alley next to Kolonaki square with a special atmosphere, where it took its name… Passion alley. Women, stylists and magazines loved it immediately. It became a meeting point, not only to shop but also to be informed or just meet. There was so much enthusiasm and positive energy”.
“That was when the girl that I designed the first wedding dress for, came to Passion Alley because her friends were looking for dresses for her wedding. While they were trying on dresses, they realized that the time had passed and they had to leave because they had a wedding dress rehearsal. Right at the stairs as they were leaving, I told her how I would imagine her as a bride. That was it! She never went to the rehearsal. “You will make my dress, you understood me without even knowing me”. “Yes, but I don’t do wedding dresses, this will be my first time”, I said. “Wedding dress is also a dress”, she said, “and you make amazing dresses, just this time you’ll make it white! I like the way you approach it and you will make my wedding dress”.
“I did it with so much enthusiasm, it was something new to me and the feelings were too many during the rehearsals, the motions, the joy in their eyes! The transformation from some meters of fabric, that were chosen with so much care, to this unique dress gave me great joy and satisfaction”.
That was it! One bride brought the other and Vasia kept discovering new techniques, new professionals, amazing fabrics. “I love creating wedding dresses more than anything! It is such a joyful procedure, I become part of a couple’s most beautiful day! It is such a magical moment that a girl enters the atelier and leaves a bride. It is not easy, I have really high expectations of myself and my partners. I travel a lot, I get updated to new trends, new materials and new techniques”.
