Modern colorful glam wedding in Mykonos

Luciana and Jamie live in London. Luciana’s origins are Greek so when Jamie completely unexpected proposed during their vacation in Greece it was no doubt their wedding was going to be held in our beautiful country. Mykonos was chosen as there were strong bonds with the island and particularly with Agios Sostis Church from Luciana’s childhood. Both, Luciana and Jamie, had a strong will for an elegant, romantic yet scenic wedding. They chose a bright colorful palette of fuchsia, orange, gold and blue perfectly matching the whitewashed walls of the island, the pink of the bougainvilleas and the crystal blue of the sea.

*From Vasso Vantali of MBWE:  “To fulfill our couple’s needs we came up with a theatrical concept perfectly matching the simplicity of the villa the reception dinner took place and the colors of the island, with ornate patterns, luxurious throws. Plenty of bling touches, different patterns, chandeliers dripping with crystals and gold, jewel-tone color palette, amphorae, fine porcelain and china were the key elements to their magical scenery. For the wedding stationary as also for the tailor-made couple’s logo the watercolor effect was used, in different shades of blue and violet. Everything was elegantly printed on white velvet paper”.

Four stunning bridesmaids walked one after the other leading the way under the tunes of “Nuvole Bianche” by Ludovico Einaudi for the stunning bride and her father to walk down an aisle full of rose petals while “Moon River” performed by Audrey Hepburn was played on the background. It was a warm and very emotional ceremony. Vows of love and rings were exchanged, their first “official” kiss and the newlyweds left the ceremony under the tunes of “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder while the traditional rice was tossed!

The dinner party was held on a beautiful villa overlooking Delos and the guests arrived in time for the amazing sunset. Beside the bride’s outstanding dress, we just loved the pink flamingo in the pool that really upgrade the after-hours party in the pool!
