Summer blue wedding in Santorini

It smelled like summer today in WeddingTales. Eugenia and Markos got married in Santorini and their blue wedding was an endless summer party that will definitely blow your minds!

“I met Markos at a birthday party, in a bar in Glyfada. The party was “double” since it was organized for two friends together on their birthday. Markos knew both of the birthday boys and he had gone to the party with a friend. I went to a party with my best friend. My friend was a fellow student with Markos and to one of the two birthday boys. We didn’t know the other guy celebrating his birthday, nor did we know that he would become the future husband of my friend … Not only we both met the men of our lives in the same party, but they were also very close friends since kids!!”.

“I had the “proposal ring” but I didn’t wear it, because a few months after the initial proposal we had stayed separately with Markos for a year … The decision for the wedding was, you could say, spontaneous. A few days after a wonderful experience of a wedding and a christening of beloved friends, we woke up in the morning and discussed something about wedding and automatically, almost simultaneously said “How about we get married next year;”. So I went and I brought my ring, decided to change it a little, so for renewal, and started thinking about what, how, when, where … !! “.

“The most beautiful memory of our wedding was definitely when I arrived at the church, accompanied by my father, my nieces and nephews and my baptistery and saw him waiting smiling … Our wedding colors were blue and matt gold (vintage gold). We wanted blue because is the color we both love very much, we had an island wedding, and the flower we chose was blue hydrangea. Gold was added to give a bit of finesse, and to tie results to the all the stationary we prepared for our guests… This was the most creative part for me, because I’m a graphic designer and I have an artistic printing, so we experimented a lot with paper, inks, the nuances and all the pieces that we used for our wedding”.

“When we first saw our wedding pictures we were touched, but excited! Our photographer, Anestis -which are longer and our very close friend, brought a beautiful box filled with memories of our wedding day… Probably we were more excited we saw him, despite the fact that he brought the photos. It reminded us of the moments, the laughter, the air that blew furiously, the ride to the volcano and Thirasia and generally we were with a huge smile was stuck to our faces”.

The wonderful wedding of Eugenia and Markos certainly made us lament the Summer and fell in love with the stunning Eugenia’s wedding dress! “The designer of the gown, Gina, knew from the start what I wanted and what I wanted to avoid, and designed the wedding dress by modifying some of my ideas in order to achieve the ideal result. The gown was the color I wanted, its style was ethereal and stylish! The design fitted my body just as I had imagined”.

“My advice to all future brides to be is this: There are two parts to the wedding! The preparation and … the big day! The preparation needs proper organization, to find suitable partners to do everything correctly and qualitatively, without hassle and unnecessary fatigue. For the wedding day, all you need is laughter, tears of joy, serenity and the least stress possible! It was our day, and we enjoyed it a lot! We danced, sang, laughed, and we felt the love of the people around us …”!
