A romantic bohemian elopement in Santorini

In Greece we are used to big, open wedding with all our friends and family together! But we won’t lie to you. Elopements have always touched our hearts. And the same thing happened with the romantic boho elopement of Sarah & Joe in Santorini.

“Joel and I were in the same friend group in high school, but we started dating in University. The first time I thought of him as more than a friend was when he came home from a trip to Europe. It was the first time one of my friends had gone overseas without their parents and I thought that was really cool!  He had told me all about how amazing Greece was and that’s where we ended up getting married 10 years later”.

“ The theme for our wedding was Greek elopement! We opted for colors and décor that were simple to show off the natural beauty we were surrounded by. We hired Julia and Evita to plan our elopement and they are décor champions! The flowers were outstanding, and they even created a large S and J out of wood that were covered in flowers!”.

Sarah chose for her wedding a lace A-line wedding dress with spaghetti straps and open back. “When I first saw my wedding dress, I felt giddy and excited to go on an adventure with my best friend to get married! As for our wedding pictures, when we first saw them, we were in awe of how beautiful they turned out! Teo from Lighthouse Photography did an incredible job capturing the day. These are, definitely, photos that we want up in our home and will spark wonderful memories and joy forever!”.

Beautiful Sarah has an advice for all future brides to be and this is it:
“Weddings can be really expensive, even elopements can be really expensive so pick your top 3 things that are most important to you and try not to worry about the rest. My top 3 were venue, sharing our own vows and feeling relaxed and stress-free all day. And most importantly have fun! This is one of the most important and special days of your life so laugh, joke, dance and have fun with your new husband”.
